ALUMNI ASSOCIATION:

     The  involvement of alumni in supporting and providing contribution voluntarily to their institution is important for maintaining and expanding a institutions development .The alumni’s role is crucial for the development of the institution.They can provide support in various aspects that are beneficial to the students,graduates,institutions and the society in general.The alumni’s opinion in developing the institutions and propodes solution to the challenges faced by the institutions is highly valued by the institutions in achievivs its vision and mission.The alumni is an asset to the institution and their contributions and involvement can significantly increase the reputation of the institution nationally and internationally.The existence of Alumni Association is very much needed to support the parent organisation’s goal and strengthen the ties between alumni,community and the parent organization.

Ambedkar college ,Fatikroy established in 1991 has successfully completed its twenty five years of Journey and the students of this college twinkling in different parts of the country.To reach in its goal ,the support and suggestion of our past students is very much needed and considering the need the college authority invited all the pass out students to meet and to join activity for overall development of the institution.Accordingly in 2014 we have formed an ‘Alumni Association’ at our college.In 2019 the association applied to register of co-operative society ,Govt. of Tripura for registration of their Association.

As per the rule of the Alumni Association an executive committee with the following members was

formed-

Status of the Association:

Registerd, Govt. of Tripura, Agartala (Registration No:8149 of 2019)

 Objective :The objects for which the society is established are-

i)To foster ,maintain and improve friendly relation and co-operation among the members.

ii)To maintain a good relationship among students and staff of Ambedkar college and society.

iii) To work as a non-political and non profitable organization.

iv) To collect subscription and donation from members and others to attain the objects of society in general and Ambedkar college in special.

v)Bring the old students of Ambedkar College,Fatikroy under one forum for exchange of experience,dissemination of knowledge and talents among its members and present students of the college and to update the database of all alumni periodically.

vi)To conduct skill training,Seminars,Conferences,Workshops,Endowment lectures and other academic activities and also to keep in touch with one another of the teaching and non teaching staff and students of the college.

vii)To create and establishAlumni endowments for granting scholarships,prizes and medals to the students showing high proficiency in their studies .

viii)To  render financial aid to deserving poor students studying at the college/school.Also to render financial aid to deserving alumni in cases of extreme compassionate circumstances.

ix)To organize cultural and educational programs and also to conduct alumni day celebration every year.

x)To provide guidance to the present students in their endeavor for better employment and higher studies and to promote the campus placements through the old students working in reputed industries in India and abroad.

xi)To promote different welfare activities, viz. medical camp, blood donation camp , literary competition , games and sports competition ,Yoga camp and other similar youth welfare activities for the welfare of the members of the society and others.

      xii)To initiate different awareness programme on HIV & AIDS ,Dangers of Drug abuse,Vana-                    mohatsav , swacch-Bharat etc for welfare of the society.

       xiii)To publish books,journals ,posters ,magazines ,souvenirs and newsletters for the betterment of            the youngstars in connection with the objects of the Ambedkar college & scciety.

       xiv)To support the college authority in overall development of the college including infrastructure            and other needs.

       xv)To do all such other developmental works as may be conducive or instrumental to the attainment           of all or any of the above objects.

Rajib Das

Alumni Association of Ambedkar College,  represented by the President Shri. Rajib Das, with absolute goodwill donated a land measuring 0.54 acres to the College for utilizing it in advancing the cause and ideal of the institution.
